Everytime WordPress Updates their WordPress Core to a major release (188.8.131.52 and soon 5) we have to ensure that all of our websites and plugins we support and run are compatible. Now that we have possibly the biggest upgrade coming in December we will need to do some major due diligence.
The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) takes effect on May 25, 2018. The GDPR in your case if you are a website and business owner to be transparent about how you collect, use, and share personal data. It is important to know, that even if you are not a European Business, your site will in some way interact with European citizens and businesses and this is where you need to ensure you have provisions in place.
