I had the pleasure of speaking at WordPress WordCamp Real Estate in Denver, Colorado and had a great time meeting a whole bunch of WordPress people who are passionate about technology and real estate. Of particular interest to me was a speech about the integration of data (sales, location, education) into property pages which has now spawned into a local market explorer WordPress Plugin. It is a little rough, but it has great potential.

I had a great time. I also spent a day driving through Colorado Rockies which had simply breathtaking scenery around just about every corner.

WordCamp is a conference that focuses on everything WordPress.

WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that are put together by WordPress users like you. Everyone from casual users to core developers participate, share ideas, and get to know each other. I have found them to be quite fascinating. However, too many speakers read off a script. I prefer to just talk with the audience about my experiences in building a business and list all the things I have taken in over the 12 years of working with WordPress as a fundamental core to all of my businesses.

Building an online business, particularly a web design and development company is difficult, but it can be done. My company now serves over 1000 clients across the world and this is what I talk about during my presentation.
